The school offers a B.Sc. in Atmospheric Sciences and Master’s and PhD programs in Meteorology and in Climate System and Climate Change. There is also a Postdoctoral Research Center in Atmospheric Sciences. The Atmospheric Science discipline ranked first in the national subject evaluations conducted by the Ministry of Education (MOE) of China in 2012 and 2017 (rated as A+). Known as the “cradle of Chinese meteorological talents”, NUIST has cultivated almost half of the meteorological professionals for the Chinese meteorological industry.
