Strictly come to dance confirmed the sixth celebrity for the 2022 series.
The BBC has just announced that five-time Paralympic champion, presenter and documentary maker Ellie Simmonds OBE will be taking to the dance floor this year. Will he be able to add the Glitterball trophy to his collection?

“I’m a little nervous too, more than a little… I’m just petrified! To be asked to be a part of Strictly family is so exciting and I can’t wait, it’s going to be so much fun. I count the minutes until the start; learning to dance, meeting my partner and everyone else on the show. Plus wearing sequins and all that would be awesome.
“I was watching Strictly as I remember; it’s a traditional holiday leading up to Christmas with my family and it’s a real privilege to be a part of it.”
During her career, Simmonds was crowned BBC Sports Personality of the Year at the age of 13 and went on to become the youngest person to receive an MBE, before later becoming an OBE.

Rest of 2022 Strictly the lineup currently includes Two pints of lager and a packet of crisps actor Will Mellor, Coronation Street actress Kim Marsh, BBC Radio 2 star Richie Anderson, Loose womenis Kay Adams and comedian and Snackmasters hosted by Jade Adams.
